Job Details

- Schedule: 12-hour shifts (8am-8pm weekdays, 8am-4pm weekends); 36/40 week rotation—Week 1: Tuesday, Wednesday, Saturday, Sunday; Week 2: Monday, Thursday, Friday
- EMR: Epic
Responsibilities and Duties
- Provide autonomous urgent care services to a high-volume patient population (40+ patients per shift)
- Work collaboratively with a medical assistant and front desk staff
- Conduct assessment, diagnosis, and management of acute illnesses and minor injuries
- Order and interpret diagnostic tests as needed
- Prescribe medications according to DEA regulations
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation using Epic EMR
- Ensure compliance with state and federal healthcare regulations
Additional Information
- Must have an active Nurse Practitioner license for North Carolina
- Minimum of 1 year of urgent care or emergency room experience required; new graduates will not be considered
- Must be able to work independently
- DOT certification required (provider must obtain if not current)
- Basic Life Support (BLS) and DEA certification required
