In this critical role, you will independently manage a diverse patient population, including both adults and pediatric patients older than 6 months. You will perform minor procedures such as I&D, lac repair, and ear irrigation, utilizing your clinical skills and compassion to deliver exceptional care. Working with a supportive staff, including center managers, medical assistants, and supervising physicians, you will operate efficiently within our urgent care setting, employing Epic EMR for charting and documentation.

Required Skills:
- Minimum of 12 months of clinical experience in urgent or acute care settings
- Current Board Certification (BC/NCCPA for PAs, Family NP Certification for NPs)
- Active BLS Certification
- Proficiency with Epic EMR
- Ability to independently see and treat all assigned patients
- Strong soft skills and excellent communication abilities
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision
- Capable of managing up to 40 patients per day, with an average of 20
Nice to Have Skills:
- Experience with minor procedures like I&D and lac repairs
- Familiarity with pediatric and adult patient care
- Ability to adapt to modified Epic training schedules and workflows
- Experience in a similar urgent care or emergency medicine setting
Preferred Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Physician Assistant Studies or Nursing
- At least one year of clinical practice in urgent, acute, or emergency care
- Certification in relevant procedures and specialties preferred but not mandatory
Other Requirements:
- Applicants must be within a 65-mile radius of Winston Salem, NC, for support stability
- No travel or overnight lodging reimbursement; mileage only
- Must complete clinical interview, EMR training, and onboarding prior to independent shifts
- Availability on scheduled start date (12/31/2025) and flexibility for shifts as needed
