Urgent Care Nurse Practitioner | San Antonio, TX

We are seeking an energetic and enthusiastic Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner to join our clinical team on a part-time basis at our Huebner Rd. urgent care clinic in San Antonio.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate and treat patients across all ages in an urgent care and/or occupational health setting

• Deliver compassionate care aligned with NextCare values

• Communicate a clear treatment plan to patients and ensure proper follow-up

• Document care within EHR and ensure accurate coding/billing

• Maintain clinical productivity consistent with peers and UC standards

• Perform procedures based on skill/experience (e.g., suturing, I&D, splinting)

• Work collaboratively with clinic teams and leadership

Required Qualifications

• Active, unrestricted Texas PA or NP license

• DEA registration (or ability to obtain)

• Board certification: NCCPA, ANCC, or AANP

• Must be comfortable treating all age groups

• Active BLS

• EHR proficiency

• Ability to work occasional weekends/holidays

• DOT certification (or willingness to obtain — we cover the cost!)

Preferred Skills

• Urgent care, ER fast-track, or walk-in clinic experience

• Comfort with initial x-ray reads

• Suturing and common UC procedures

• Master’s degree for Physician Assistants

Employment Status: Part-time
