  • Must see all ages! Independently assess, diagnose and treat patients age 1 month and older presenting with urgent care complaints (both pediatric and adult).
  • Perform procedures commonly found in urgent care: suturing, laceration repair, I&D (incision & drainage) of abscesses, first reads on x-rays.
  • Order and interpret diagnostic tests (labs, imaging) and adjust management accordingly.
  • Collaborate with physicians and other clinical staff to ensure high quality patient care.
  • Work a flexible schedule, clinics open 7 days a week- in a fast-paced urgent care environment. Biggest shift needs Friday - Monday.
  • Maintain required credentials/licensure (TX state licensure, DEA, board certification) and compliance with organizational and regulatory policies.
  • No travel provided

Qualifications

Licensed as a Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) in Texas (or eligible) with a valid DEA registration.
Board certified NP or PA.
Comfortable treating both pediatric (from ~ 1month old) and adult patients in the urgent care setting.
Demonstrated ability to perform minor procedures such as sutures, I&Ds.
Excellent communication, multi-tasking, and independent decision-making skills.
Preferably 1-3 years of experience in urgent care or similar fast-paced outpatient setting.
