We are seeking an energetic, compassionate, and patient-focused Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner to join our Plano, TX urgent care team. Key Responsibilities

Evaluate and treat urgent care and occupational health patients using evidence-based clinical practices.

Deliver compassionate, patient-centered care aligned with NextCare’s mission and values.

Communicate diagnoses, treatment plans, and next steps clearly to patients and families.

Document patient care efficiently and accurately in the EHR.

Appropriately code and bill for services rendered in accordance with compliance guidelines.

Ensure timely clinical follow-up and continuity of care.

Maintain productivity benchmarks consistent with peers and industry standards.

Practice ethically, professionally, and in alignment with organizational policies.

Build positive relationships with patients, team members, and the community.
Required Qualifications
-
Active and unrestricted Texas PA or NP license.
-
Active DEA registration.
-
NCCPA certification (PAs) or ANCC/AANP certification (NPs).

NP candidates must be certified to treat all ages (e.g., FNP).
-
Bachelor’s degree in PA Studies or Master’s in Nursing (NP).

Current BLS certification.
-
EHR proficiency.
-
Ability to treat patients across the lifespan.

Willingness to work some weekends/holidays based on clinic needs.

DOT Certification or willingness to obtain (NextCare provides training at no cost).
Preferred Qualifications
-
Suturing experience.
-
Initial X-ray interpretation experience prior to radiology over-read.

Prior urgent care, ER fast track, or high-volume outpatient experience.

Master’s degree in PA Studies (for PA candidates).
