Position Overview
NextCare Urgent Care is seeking an energetic, patient-centered Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner for our clinic in Golden, CO.
This is a full-scope urgent care and occupational health role in a fast-paced setting that offers autonomy, a strong support structure, and meaningful impact on patient access and community health.
Responsibilities

Evaluate, diagnose, and treat patients following best practices for urgent care and occupational medicine.

Provide compassionate, respectful, and patient-centered care aligned with NextCare’s values.

Clearly communicate diagnoses, treatment plans, and follow-up steps.

Document patient encounters accurately and timely in the EHR.

Maintain accountability for appropriate coding and billing.

Deliver professional, ethical, and legal care at all times.

Meet clinical productivity standards consistent with peers and industry benchmarks.

Follow up on patient care needs as indicated.

Required Education, Experience & Skills
-
Active and unrestricted Colorado medical license
-
Active DEA
-
NCCPA certification (Physician Assistant) or ANCC/AANP certification (Nurse Practitioner)
-
NP applicants must be certified to treat all ages (e.g., FNP)
-
Bachelor’s degree (PA) or Master’s in Nursing (NP)
-
Active BLS certification
-
Comfortable treating all age groups
-
Proficient with EHR systems
-
DOT Certification may be required; if not currently certified, training is provided at no cost
-
Ability to work occasional weekends and holidays (varies by clinic need)
Preferred Qualifications
-
Experience with initial x-ray interpretation
-
Suturing skills
-
Master’s degree in physician assistant studies (PA)
-
Prior urgent care, ER fast-track, or walk-in clinic experience
Compensation & Benefits
Compensation:
$60–$80 per hour, depending on experience
