Organization Overview
This opportunity is with a privately owned, well-established urgent care organization serving the greater Grand Rapids region. The group operates multiple standalone clinics that provide both urgent care and limited primary care services, supported by experienced clinical and administrative teams.
Clinics are equipped with on-site labs, X-ray, procedures, and modern EMR workflows, enabling providers to deliver efficient, high-quality care in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
Position Summary
The organization is seeking multiple Board-Certified or Board-Eligible Nurse Practitioners and Physician Assistants to join its urgent care team across three local clinic sites (all within ~10 miles of each other).
Providers may work solo or alongside another NP/PA or physician, depending on the schedule. This role includes both urgent care and some primary care responsibilities, with training available when needed.
The group is flexible and open to PRN, part-time, or full-time schedules.

Essential Position Responsibilities
Provide urgent care evaluation and treatment for patients of all ages
Perform standard urgent care procedures, including:
Suturing
Splinting
Incision & drainage
Basic orthopedic care
Conduct workers’ compensation and employment physicals
See occasional primary care follow-ups (training provided if necessary)
Utilize Experity EMR for documentation, orders, and workflow management
Rotate among three nearby clinic locations within a 10-mile radius
Deliver patient-centered care in a fast-paced, walk-in environment
Work independently or collaboratively, depending on clinic staffing
Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation
Schedule Details
Clinics open:
Monday–Friday: 8:00 AM – 8:00 PM
Weekends: 8:00 AM – 6:00 PM
Client is open to PRN, part-time, or full-time
Must be willing to work a mix of weekday and weekend shifts
DOT certification required (or willingness to obtain after hiring)
Qualifications
Education
Graduate of an accredited NP or PA program
Licensure & Certification
Board-Certified or Board-Eligible NP or PA
Active Michigan license (or ability to obtain)
DOT certification or willingness to obtain
Experience
Minimum 1 year post-training NP/PA experience required
Urgent care, emergency medicine, or primary care experience preferred
Skills
Proficiency in urgent care procedures (suturing, splinting, I&D)
Strong clinical judgment and ability to multitask
Ability to work independently or with another provider
Excellent patient communication and teamwork
