Job description

Job description We are seeking an experienced Urgent Care Nurse Practitioner for a 70-day locum tenens assignment in North Carolina, starting Dec 16, 2025. This full-time position features 12-hour weekday shifts and shorter weekend shifts, with a rotating 36/40 schedule and every other weekend required. Providers must be able to work autonomously in a fast-paced setting.

  • Provider Type Needed: Urgent Care Nurse Practitioner
  • Schedule: Full time, rotating 36/40 schedule; every other weekend required. Weekdays 8am-8pm, weekends 8am-4pm. Must be able to float within relatively close clinics.

Responsibilities and Duties
  • Independently assess and manage acute care patients in an urgent care setting
  • See 40+ patients per shift while maintaining high standards of patient care
  • Collaborate with medical assistants and front desk staff as part of a streamlined business model
  • Work autonomously, making clinical decisions and managing patient flow efficiently
  • Adapt to a rotating schedule and float between clinic locations as needed
  • Maintain compliance with all relevant clinical protocols and best practices

Additional Information
  • Must be licensed as a Nurse Practitioner in North Carolina
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) and DEA certification required
  • DOT certification is a plus
  • Must be able to work autonomously; candidates with less than one year of experience or new graduates will not be considered
