Job description We are seeking an experienced Urgent Care Nurse Practitioner for a locum tenens assignment in Washington. This position starts on Jan 26, 2026, and offers an 84-day contract with a 7 on, 7 off schedule, 10am-6pm shifts. The role requires comfort working independently, providing care to all age groups, and managing an average of 20 patients per day.

Responsibilities and Duties
  • Serve as the sole provider in an urgent care clinic setting
  • Evaluate, diagnose, and treat a full spectrum of urgent care cases for patients of all ages
  • Perform procedures including suturing and splinting
  • Manage patient flow to accommodate variable daily volumes
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation
  • Ensure high standards of patient care and safety
  • Adhere to clinic protocols and regulatory requirements

Additional Information
  • Current or recent experience in urgent care required
  • Must be comfortable working independently as the only provider
  • Experience with suturing and splinting required
  • Ability to see all age groups
  • Must have a Washington state license
  • Clean background required
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
  • Family Nurse Practitioner Certification (FNP) and Urgent Care board certifications required
  • Experience handling 20-30 patients per day preferred
  • 6-month assignment ideal; minimum 4-month commitment considered
