Join Our Dynamic Urgent Care Team as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide comprehensive urgent care services, including minor procedures such as I&D, lac repairs, and ear irrigations for both adult and pediatric patients (from 6 months and up)
  • Solely manage patient cases in a fast-paced environment, ensuring timely and effective treatment
  • Utilize Epic EMR system efficiently with full charting responsibilities
  • Collaborate with support staff, including center managers, medical assistants, and supervising physicians
  • Ensure compliance with all certification, licensing, and procedural requirements
  • Maintain high standards of patient care, soft skills, and professionalism in interactions

Required Skills:
  • Minimum of 12 months of urgent care or emergency medicine experience
  • Board Certification (BC or NCCPA for PA, Family Nurse Practitioner Certification)
  • Valid PA Certification or Nurse Practitioner License, with BLS certification
  • Proficiency with Epic EMR system
  • Ability to independently see and treat all patient demographics, including pediatrics
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Nice to Have Skills:
  • Experience performing minor procedures (I&D, lac repairs, ear irrigations)
  • Prior experience in high-volume urgent care settings
  • Strong soft skills for effective patient and staff interactions
  • Knowledge of a broad scope of acute care procedures

Preferred Education and Experience:
  • Certified Nurse Practitioner (Family, Adult, or Pediatric focus) or Physician Assistant with licensed practice
  • At least one year of relevant urgent care or emergency medicine experience
  • Proficient with EMR systems, particularly Epic

Other Requirements:
  • Ability to work in multiple locations within a 65-mile radius
  • Willingness to undergo clinical interview, EMR training, and onboarding before first solo shift
  • Availability for scheduled shifts as per site requirements; no travel reimbursement provided, mileage only
  • Must meet all certification, licensure, and credentialing standards
