Locums NP/PA Urgent Care Opportunity – Pennsylvania

An established Urgent Care group with multiple locations across Pennsylvania is seeking experienced Nurse Practitioners and Physician Assistants for an immediate locum tenens need. This is a great opportunity to join a growing team and provide care in a fast-paced, supportive environment.

Position Details:

• Schedule: 12-hour shifts, 8:00 AM – 8:00 PM

• Monthly Commitment: 12 shifts per month (FT preferred, PT considered)

• Start Date: September 1, 2025

• Travel: Mileage, lodging, and transportation provided as needed

• Setting: Urgent Care; average 3–4 patients/hour

• Support: Medical assistants and radiology techs onsite; Epic EMR

Responsibilities:

• Independently evaluate and treat patients of all ages

• Diagnose and manage urgent care cases such as cold/flu, rashes, sprains, lacerations, minor burns, etc.

• Perform procedures including suturing, splinting, wound care, I&Ds, X-rays, EKGs, blood draws, and IVs

• Work solo at times, with remote physician support for escalations

• Refer high-acuity patients to the ER when necessary

Qualifications:

• Active Pennsylvania license & CSR required (IMLC not accepted)

• Certifications: ACLS, BLS, PALS

• Experience: Minimum 2 years in urgent care or 1 year in emergency medicine

• Must be comfortable treating pediatrics through geriatrics

• Strong procedural skills (suturing, splinting, wound care)

• Open to travel between sites (within ~30 miles)

• NPDB self-query (within 30 days) required with presentation
