Position Overview

WellSpan Health is seeking a Vascular Surgery Nurse Practitioner (NP) for a highly flexible, low-frequency locum opportunity. This role offers a consistent every-other-week Wednesday schedule, combining inpatient rounding and outpatient clinic consults within a collaborative vascular surgery team.

This is an excellent opportunity for providers seeking predictable, minimal-day commitment with strong compensation.

Schedule

• Day: Wednesdays only
• Shift Length: 10 hours (7:00 AM – 5:00 PM)
• Frequency: Every other week
• Call: None

Clinical Responsibilities

• Provide vascular surgery support in both clinic and hospital settings
• Perform inpatient rounding and consults
• Manage approximately:
  • ~15 patients per day
  • ~2 consults per day
• Assist with vascular surgical care including:
  • Bypass procedures
  • Amputations
• Collaborate closely with vascular surgery team

Practice Details

• Setting: Hospital-based clinic + inpatient rounds
• EMR: Epic
• Facility Size: 150-bed acute care hospital
• Patient Population: Adult (18+)
• Case Mix: General vascular surgery (non-trauma)

Requirements

• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Vascular Surgery (NP/APP equivalent experience acceptable)
• Minimum 1 year vascular experience preferred (surgical experience not required)
• Active Pennsylvania license (required)
• DEA required
• Strong clinical judgment and comfort with consult-based workflow

Additional Information

• Credentialing timeframe: ~90 days (temporary privileges available for clean files)
• All orientation hours are billable
• Minimal schedule commitment with long-term potential
