We are seeking an experienced Cardiac Surgery Physician Assistant (PA) or Nurse Practitioner (NP) for an ongoing locum assignment. This is a great opportunity for providers with strong cardiac surgical experience looking for consistent weekend call coverage.
📅 Assignment Details
- Start Date: May 10
- Contract Length: Ongoing
- Coverage Needed: 3 weekends per month
⏰ Schedule
- Weekend Call: Friday 5:00 PM – Monday 7:00 AM
- Shift Type: 24-hour call coverage
- Average Callback: ~4 hours/day (including rounding)
🏥 Position Overview
- Provide cardiac surgery support in a hospital setting
- Manage urgent surgical cases (e.g., cath lab to OR)
- Perform vein harvesting and assist in procedures
- Collaborate with surgeons (backup available post-consult)
- Support patients through ICU to discharge
