Locum Surgical Cardiovascular Advanced Practice Provider (APP) Needs in MI!

ATC West Healthcare Services is seeking a Surgical Cardiovascular Advanced Practice Provider (APP) to provide staffing support in an inpatient Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit (CVICU). This role involves delivering autonomous, high-acuity care to adult cardiovascular surgery patients in a hospital-based setting. The APP will work collaboratively with a supervising physician while independently managing complex post-operative cases.

Dates / Schedule

• Start Date: As soon as credentialed

• Assignment Length: 90–120 days

• Credentialing Timeframe: 90–120 days

• Shift Length: 12-hour shifts

• Shift Options:

  • Days: 6:00 AM – 6:00 PM

  • Nights: 6:00 PM – 6:00 AM

  • Swing: 3:00 PM – 3:00 AM

• Coverage: Weekdays and weekends

• Call: No call required

Job Details / Responsibilities

• Practice Setting: Inpatient, hospital-based CVICU

• Patient Population: Adult

• Average Daily Census: 12 patients

• EMR System: Epic

• Work Autonomously: Yes

• Supervising Physician Onsite: Yes

• Reason for Coverage: Staffing support

Core Responsibilities:

• Provide autonomous care for adult CVICU patients

• Manage post-operative cardiovascular surgery patients

• Perform advanced cardiovascular monitoring

• Deliver high-acuity critical care in collaboration with the care team

Required Skills & Qualifications

Required:

• Board Certified (AANP or NCPA)

• Active Michigan License

• Acute Care trained and certified

• Self-Query NPDB (pulled within one month; required at time of presentation)

Preferred:

• BLS / ACLS / CALS certifications

This opportunity is ideal for an Acute Care-certified APP experienced in cardiovascular critical care who is comfortable practicing autonomously in a high-acuity inpatient setting.
