Locum Tenens Nurse Practitioner - Surgery Cardiothoracic

Position Type: Locum Tenens
Specialty: Physician - Surgery Cardiothoracic
Location: Cleveland, OH.
Shift: Night 24-hour shifts (16:00 – 16:00), scheduled + on-call required
Start Date: 03/09/2026

Position Details:
Patient Population: Adult cardiac and thoracic surgery patients
Setting: Operating Room (OR) / Acute Care Hospital / ICU & Step Down
Responsibilities: 1st & 2nd assist in cardiothoracic surgeries, ICU and step-down management, rounding on weekends/holidays, call coverage
Required Procedures: CABG, AVR, MVR, thoracic robotic surgery, VATS, open thoracotomy, saphenous vein harvesting, pacing wire removal, IABP manipulation/removal, chest tube sclerosis
EMR System: Epic
Support Staff: 2 cardiac surgeons, 1 thoracic surgeon, 5 PAs
Days Per Month: Varies (weekday shifts with call expectations)
On-Call/Weekends: Yes — 24-hour call (not in-house), weekend call required

Submission Requirements:

  • Active Ohio NP License
  • ACLS Certification
  • BLS Certification
  • DEA & Ohio CSR
