Coverage Needed
- Start Date: ASAP
- End Date: 3 months minimum
- Full-time availability needed, requires willingness for days/nights/evenings/weekends
- Coverage Type: Inpatient only, no clinic
- Call Schedule: 1-2 days/week if any, only overnight emergency OR call (taken from home)
Clinical Details
- Practice Setting: Inpatient only, no clinic
- Average Number of Patients Per Day: Service census approximately 15-20 patients, round on 3-5/day
- EMR: Epic
- Will be Working Autonomously
- Support Staff: Supervising physician present during assignment; surgeon
- Patient Age Demographic: Adult/geriatric
- Required Duties:
- Suture Removal
- Diagnose Illnesses
- Treat Illnesses
- Order Tests
- Interpret Tests
- Assist in Surgery
- Write Prescriptions
- Coordination of Care
- Rounding
- Pre-Op Physical Exams
- Required Procedures:
- Intraoperative 1st assisting
- Removal of dialysis catheters
Requirements
- NCCPA or ANCC/AANP, NP must have RNFA
- Active NY State License
- BLS, ACLS
- Vascular and/or cardiac surgery experience as well as medical management required; no new grads
- Self-Query NPDB report, must be pulled within the same month as submission
- Full-time availability only
