Job Responsibilities

  • Perform suture removal, diagnose and treat illnesses
  • Order and interpret tests, assist in surgeries
  • Write prescriptions and coordinate patient care
  • Conduct pre-op physical exams and patient rounding
  • Intraoperative 1st assisting and removal of dialysis catheters

Qualifications

  • Active NY State License
  • NCCPA or ANCC/AANP certified, NP must have RNFA
  • BLS, ACLS certifications required
  • Minimum experience in vascular and/or cardiac surgery
  • Ability to work autonomously with supervising surgeon present

Working Hours

  • Full-time availability required, willingness for variable shifts including days, nights, evenings, and weekends
  • Call schedule: 1-2 days/week, emergency overnight on-call duty

Skills

  • Strong clinical and diagnostic skills
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage patient loads efficiently
  • Effective communication and collaboration with medical team members
  • Proficient with EMR systems, especially Epic
