LOCUM Cardiovascular Surgeon *128859: Southwest, Maine
Schedule:
Length of coverage: 3-6 months
Will work four 10-12 hour days per week if assigned to the OR and three 12-13 hour shifts if assigned to the ICU.
The ICU does include overnights in-house.
Will have a 1 in 4 or 5 weekend responsibility. (On call from 6p Friday to 6a Monday)
Surgical call responsibility: 1-2 weekdays per week from 6P-6A.
Provider must be able to act independently in the OR, harvest veins, and operate in a high acuity ICU setting.
Details:
Volume of Cardiac Surgery Division: 7 adult surgeons and 32 APPs; 1,600 pump cases are handled per year; Perform all cardiac surgery procedures except transplant
Number of residents/fellows: None
Credentialing Estimate: Immediate and would push for emergency credentials
Submission Requirements:
Board Certified (Must have Acute Care Certification)
Active ME License or Active IMLC
Covid and flu vaccine
Must be able to operate and harvest vein
Can work independently in a high acuity ICU setting
