Job description
Under the supervision of a physician, the Neurosurgery Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant provides comprehensive medical care and support across a wide range of clinical functions. Responsibilities include obtaining medical histories, performing physical examinations, ordering and interpreting diagnostic tests, administering treatments, monitoring patient progress, prescribing medications, assisting physicians during procedures, and providing patient counseling and education.
This position involves collaboration with neurosurgeons in the hybrid OR suite to support surgical needs and ensure the highest standards of patient care and safety.

Job Responsibilities
Order and interpret diagnostic tests and imaging results.
Develop and implement patient treatment and management plans.
Assist physicians during neurosurgical procedures.
Provide postoperative care and patient education.
Monitor patient progress and adjust care plans as needed.
Ensure compliance with safety, infection control, and quality standards.
Participate in clinical rounds and multidisciplinary team discussions.
Qualifications
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (required).
preferably in neurosurgery or surgical specialties.
Ability to remain calm and effective in emergency situations and provide leadership when required.
Knowledge of emerging technologies, surgical techniques, and neurosurgical procedures.
Understanding of health promotion, risk identification, and patient education principles.
