Locums – Langhorne, Pennsylvania, NP/PA Cardiothoracic Surgery Opening

Clinical Role

• ASAP start with ongoing need until a permanent provider is hired
• 1 NP/PA needed
• 100% inpatient, hospital-based Cardiothoracic Surgery
• Adult patient population
• Level II Trauma Center
• Support the Cardiothoracic Surgery team in the operating room and with inpatient care

Schedule & Call

• Primary need for nights and weekends with possible weekday coverage
• Weekend coverage includes Saturday and Sunday rounding followed by call coverage
• Additional call coverage as needed
• Callback hours currently unknown

Practice Model & Clinical Expectations

• Preoperative physical examinations
• Inpatient rounding and coordination of care
• Diagnose and treat illnesses
• Order and interpret diagnostic testing
• Surgical first assist
• Prescribe medications
• Suture removal
• Chest tube insertion
• Endoscopic retrieval procedures
• Epic EMR

Requirements & Credentialing

• Board Certified
• Active Pennsylvania license required
• Client will not consider candidates who need to obtain Pennsylvania licensure
• ACLS and BLS required
• Minimum 3 years of Cardiothoracic Surgery experience required
• Local candidates required
• No new graduates
