• Schedule: Day shift, 4 x 12-hour shifts per week, 7:00 AM–5:00 PM
• Hours per Week: 36
• Assignment Length: 26 weeks
• Start Date: January 25, 2027
• Estimated Weekly Pay: $5,040 - $5,400
• EMR: Epic

Job Requirements

• 1-2 years of Neurosurgery Nurse Practitioner or advanced practice experience required
• Inpatient and outpatient neurosurgery experience required
• Level I trauma experience required
• Neuro-trauma experience required
• Valid California Nurse Practitioner license required
• BLS and ACLS certification required
• RNFA preferred for candidates who will first assist in the operating room
• Strong communication, responsiveness, and professionalism required for credentialing and privileging

Responsibilities

• Provide inpatient neurosurgery coverage for a high-acuity patient population
• Support outpatient neurosurgery clinic visits in collaboration with attending physicians
• Assist in the operating room as needed, including first assist support when applicable
• Care for a broad range of neuro-trauma and complex neurosurgical patients
• Remove surgical drains and support bedside procedures as appropriate
• Collaborate closely with attendings, APPs, RNs, and nursing staff to ensure seamless patient care
• Manage a varied caseload across inpatient, outpatient, and perioperative settings
