- Experience: Prior cardiothoracic surgical assistance experience preferred

- Assist in cardiothoracic surgeries including CABG, AVR, MVR, thoracotomy, and lung resections
- Perform OR duties such as vein harvest, chest tube placement, and other surgical procedures
- Support ICU and telemetry care for postoperative patients
- Participate in weekend inpatient rounds, procedures, and surgical assistance
- Cover call duties including nights and weekends, with schedule flexibility
- Collaborate with surgical teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes
- Document procedures and patient care accurately in the EMR
- Kentucky state license to practice as a NP/PA
- Ability to assist with surgical procedures (CABG, AVR, MVR, thoracotomy/ lung resection)
- Experience in cardiothoracic surgery required
- Strong critical thinking and teamwork skills
- Key skills: surgical assistance, ICU care, telemetry, patient documentation
