Specialty: Physician - Surgeon - Cardiothoracic
Location: Lexington, KY
Shift: Mon-Fri 7:00 AM-7:00 PM + night call 7:00 PM-7:00 AM; weekends 24-hour shifts 7:00 AM-7:00 AM
Position Details: PRN inpatient/OR coverage; primarily weekends and vacation coverage; 1-2 surgeries daily; credentialing timeframe 90-110 days
Patient Population: Adult
Setting: Inpatient/OR
Responsibilities: First assist in CABG, AVR, MVR, thoracotomy/lung resection; OR duties; telemetry and ICU duties; inpatient rounds; vein harvesting; chest tube placement
Required Procedures: CABG; AVR; MVR; Thoracotomy/Lung Resection; Vein Harvest; Chest Tube Placement
EMR System: Epic
Support Staff: Surgical team support
Days Per Month: PRN; 1-2 call days per week; one weekend per month
On-Call/Weekends: 1-2 call days per week; one weekend per month, Friday 7:00 AM-Monday 7:00 AM
Submission Requirements:
- Board Certification
- Kentucky License; willing to accept providers willing to obtain
- ACLS, DEA and BLS
