Job Requirements

• Active California Nurse Practitioner license required
• 1-2 years of neurosurgery experience required
• Experience in both inpatient and outpatient healthcare settings required
• Level I trauma experience required
• Neuro-trauma experience required
• BLS and ACLS required
• First assist experience preferred; RNFA required for first assist
• Strong communication skills and responsiveness during the privileging process

Responsibilities

• Provide inpatient neurosurgery coverage for a high-acuity hospital patient population
• Support outpatient neurosurgery clinic coverage and collaborate with the care team
• Assist in the operating room as needed
• Remove surgical drains and complete other bedside procedures within scope
• Help manage neuro-trauma patients in a fast-paced acute care environment
• Partner with physicians, advanced practice providers, and nursing staff to deliver efficient, high-quality patient care
