**Cardiothoracic Surgery APP Opportunity in Myrtle Beach, SC**
- Join a leading cardiovascular surgery program supporting three cardiothoracic surgeons
- Opportunity for an experienced Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner with cardiothoracic surgery experience
- Blend of surgical first assist, inpatient rounding, and outpatient follow-up responsibilities
- Work within a collaborative, high-volume cardiac surgery team
**Practice Highlights**
- First assist in cardiothoracic surgical procedures
- Endoscopic Vein Harvesting (EVH) experience required
- Exposure to both cardiac and thoracic surgical cases
- Opportunity to participate in minimally invasive procedures
- Shared 1:3 call schedule
- Mix of inpatient and outpatient responsibilities
- Established cardiovascular surgery program with strong clinical support
**Responsibilities**
- First assist in cardiothoracic surgery procedures
- Perform endoscopic vein harvesting
- Conduct daily pre-operative and post-operative patient rounds
- Evaluate and manage patients throughout the perioperative period
- Provide outpatient follow-up and postoperative care
- Collaborate closely with surgeons, nursing staff, and ancillary teams
- Maintain accurate documentation and coordinate patient care plans
**Requirements**
- Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner program
- Eligible for South Carolina licensure
- Minimum of two years of cardiothoracic surgery experience preferred
- Experience with routine cardiac surgery and thoracic procedures
- EVH and surgical first assist experience required
- Strong understanding of postoperative management and clinic follow-up care
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
