Locum Tenens Surgical APP role providing OR first assist and inpatient surgical floor coverage in a community hospital. Role includes collaboration with General Surgery, Orthopedics, and OB/GYN teams.
Job Responsibilities
Suturing, wound closure, hemostasis support
Post-op rounding and inpatient management
Orders, consults, and discharge planning
Assisting with procedures (drainage, irrigation, etc.)
Supporting surgical teams across specialties
Qualifications
Minimum 2 years surgical APP experience required
BLS, ACLS, and ATLS certifications required
Strong OR first assist experience preferred
Epic EMR experience required
Working Hours
Full-time block coverage during assigned weeks (up to 4 weeks/month in peak periods)
Weekday call: 5:00 PM – 7:00 AM (limited rotation)
Weekend call optional: Friday 5:00 PM – Monday 7:00 AM
OR + inpatient surgical floor coverage (no clinic-only schedule)
