We are seeking an experienced Physician Assistant (PA) or Nurse Practitioner (NP) for a locum assignment combining Surgical First Assist (Operating Room) and Medical-Surgical Floor coverage.
📅 Assignment Details
- Aug 6–8: 3x12-hour shifts
- Aug 21–28: Flexible (5x8s, 4x10s, or 3x12s)
- Potential to extend through year-end
- Day Shift: 7:00 AM – 3:00 PM
- Weekday Call: 7:00 AM – 5:00 PM or 3:00 PM – 11:00 PM
- Weekend Call: Friday 5:00 PM – Monday 7:00 AM
- Weekend Rounding: 8:00 AM – 12:00 PM
- Additional: 1–2 weekends/month + ~4 weeknight call shifts/month
Job Responsibilities
Suturing, wound closure, hemostasis
Assisting with suction, drainage, irrigation
Floor coverage: rounding, consults, discharges
Adult acute care setting (109 beds)
Patient Ratio: 1:10–15
EMR: EPIC | Medication System: Pyxis
Strong interdisciplinary support
Qualifications
BLS, ACLS, ATLS (AHA)
2+ years recent surgical experience
