Join Our Team as a Locum - NP/PA - Trauma Surgery in Atlantic City, NJ

Are you a skilled Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant with a passion for trauma and acute care surgery? We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Locum provider to support critical care services at AtlantiCare Regional Medical Center. This vital role offers the opportunity to make a meaningful impact in a dynamic hospital environment while working flexible 12-hour shifts. Immediate start through October, with the chance to contribute to a Level II Trauma Center in Atlantic City, NJ.

Required Skills:
  • Current NP or PA licensure in New Jersey
  • Certification with RNFA or related surgical credentials preferred
  • Proven experience in trauma, emergency, or acute care settings
  • Proficiency in managing trauma alerts, inpatient care, and surgical consultations
  • Ability to perform procedures including chest tube placement, central/arterial line insertion, and minor suturing
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Competency with EMR systems, preferably Cerner

Nice to Have Skills:
  • Previous experience working in a Level II trauma hospital
  • BLS, ACLS certifications
  • Experience supervising or collaborating with multidisciplinary teams
  • Ability to handle high-pressure situations efficiently

Preferred Education and Experience:
  • Master's degree in Nursing or Physician Assistant Studies
  • At least 2 years of clinical experience in trauma or emergency environments
  • Prior locum or temporary coverage experience is advantageous

Other Requirements:
  • Local to Atlantic City or nearby for mileage reimbursement
  • Willingness to work 12-hour shifts, including nights and weekends
  • No need for a new state license, as licensure has been pre-approved
  • Healthcare providers must pass credentialing within approximately 30 days
