📅 Schedule Highlights

Structured coverage blocks with flexibility:

  • June 9–11 (3x12s)
  • June 22–24 (3x12s)
  • July 1–3 (3x12s)
  • August 6–8 (3x12s)
  • August 21–28 (flexible: 5x8s, 4x10s, or 3x12s)

🕖 Day shifts typically 7am–5pm
📞 Optional call opportunities:

  • Weekend call: Fri 5pm – Mon 7am
  • Weeknight call: ~4 shifts/month (5pm–7am)
  • Weekend rounding: 8am–12pm

🏥 Practice Highlights

  • Acute care hospital setting (109 beds)
  • EMR: Epic
  • Work across General Surgery, OB/GYN, and Orthopedics
  • Balanced role:
    • 🏥 Surgical Floor: rounding, consults, orders, discharges
    • 🔪 OR First Assist: direct surgical support

🔧 Hands-On Responsibilities

  • First assist in surgery: suturing, hemostasis, wound care
  • Patient positioning and intraoperative support
  • Managing drainage, suction, and irrigation
  • Post-op care, rounding, and documentation
  • Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams

What You’ll Need

  • Active New York license
  • BLS, ACLS, ATLS
  • Minimum 2 years recent surgical experience
  • Strong skills in first assist and inpatient surgical care
