🔍 Key Responsibilities

• Assist in surgical procedures as First Assist 🔪
• Provide pre- and post-operative patient care 🏥
• Perform rounding, progress notes, consults, and discharges
• Manage orders and coordinate patient care plans
• Support General Surgery, OB/GYN, and Orthopedic teams 👨‍⚕️👩‍⚕️
• Perform clinical tasks such as suturing, wound care, and hemostasis
• Document all patient interactions using EPIC EMR 💻

  • Weekend Call: Fri 5pm – Mon 7am 📞
  • Weeknight Call: ~4 shifts/month (5pm–7am)
• OR closed July 3 (on-call coverage + rounding support required)

🎓 Qualifications

• Nurse Practitioner (NP) – Board Certified
• Active New York license (required)
• BLS, ACLS, ATLS certifications required
• Minimum 2 years of recent surgical experience
• Strong communication and teamwork skills

• Surgical First Assist experience in OR
• Experience with inpatient surgical floor management
• Familiarity with EPIC EMR system
• Ability to manage diverse acute patient populations
