Join Our Dynamic Surgical Care Team as a Surgery Nurse Practitioner

We are seeking a talented Surgery Nurse Practitioner to provide exceptional patient management, assist in complex procedures, and support our hospital’s mission to deliver top-tier healthcare. What You’ll Bring:
- Current NY State Nurse Practitioner License
- Certification in AHA BLS, ACLS, and ATLS
- Minimum of 2 years recent experience in a hospital setting
- Proficiency in EPIC charting system
- Strong communication skills and a professional demeanor
- Flexibility to cover varied shifts and on-call duties
- Ability to work effectively with general surgery, OB/GYN, and orthopedic patients
- Competence in assisting with surgical procedures, wound care, suturing, and patient stabilization
Nice to Have Skills:
- Previous experience as a Surgical First Assist
- Familiarity with hospital-based wound management and hemostasis
- Knowledge of Pixys medication dispensing system
- Experience working with acutely ill adult patients
Preferred Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Nursing
- At least two years of recent surgical or hospital-based practice
- Proven ability to manage high-acuity patients in a fast-paced environment
Other Requirements:
- Must hold an active NY State License and applicable certifications
- Able to work a variety of shifts, including days, evenings, weekends, and on-call rotations
- Overtime may be required with prior approval
- Professional attire in business casual; emphasis on safety and hygiene standards
- No artificial nails or excessive jewelry; well-groomed appearance
- Ability to abide by hospital policies on dress code, cell phone use, and patient safety
