What You’ll Bring:
  • Current NY State Nurse Practitioner License
  • Certification in AHA BLS, ACLS, and ATLS
  • Minimum of 2 years recent experience in a hospital setting
  • Proficiency in EPIC charting system
  • Strong communication skills and a professional demeanor
  • Flexibility to cover varied shifts and on-call duties
  • Ability to work effectively with general surgery, OB/GYN, and orthopedic patients
  • Competence in assisting with surgical procedures, wound care, suturing, and patient stabilization

Nice to Have Skills:
  • Previous experience as a Surgical First Assist
  • Familiarity with hospital-based wound management and hemostasis
  • Knowledge of Pixys medication dispensing system
  • Experience working with acutely ill adult patients

Preferred Education and Experience:
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Nursing
  • At least two years of recent surgical or hospital-based practice
  • Proven ability to manage high-acuity patients in a fast-paced environment

Other Requirements:
  • Must hold an active NY State License and applicable certifications
  • Able to work a variety of shifts, including days, evenings, weekends, and on-call rotations
  • Overtime may be required with prior approval
  • Professional attire in business casual; emphasis on safety and hygiene standards
  • No artificial nails or excessive jewelry; well-groomed appearance
  • Ability to abide by hospital policies on dress code, cell phone use, and patient safety
