Locum Nurse Practitioner - Surgery - Cardiothoracic in Springfield, OH

Join a dedicated team at a leading healthcare facility in Springfield, Ohio. We are seeking an experienced Cardiac Surgical Nurse Practitioner to provide locum coverage at Springfield Regional Medical Center. This facility prides itself on delivering high-quality care to a diverse patient population, including adults and geriatrics, within a supportive and collaborative environment.

Job Responsibilities:

• Report directly to the Cardiovascular Surgeon.
• Manage an average patient load of 5-20 per day.
• Perform patient care coordination and rounding.
• Write prescriptions and order tests as necessary.
• Interpret diagnostic tests effectively.
• Participate in OR Call and ICU/CVICU Call.
• Assist with vein harvesting (not required).
• Retrieval of vascular tissues for bypass conduit use (not required).

Qualifications:

• Board Certified (ANCC, AANP) – Required.
• Experience in Cardiovascular Thoracic Surgery is preferred; critical care experience will be considered.
• No new graduates will be accepted.
• COVID Vaccination – Required.

License and Certification Requirements:

• Ohio State License – Preferred (consideration for those needing to obtain it quickly).
• ACLS Certification – Required.
• A self-query NPDB report dated within 30 days of the presentation is mandatory.
