Job description
Seeking an experienced Trauma & Acute Care Surgery Nurse Practitioner to provide overnight coverage (7 PM β 7 AM) in a high-acuity surgical environment. This is a permanent, full-time position for candidates with a strong background in trauma or acute care surgery.
π©Ή Role Overview
As a Trauma & Acute Care Surgery NP, you will:

Deliver comprehensive trauma and acute care surgical services overnight

Perform patient assessments, order and interpret diagnostics, and develop treatment plans

Manage trauma and emergency general surgery patients across inpatient units

Support trauma surgeons with procedures and ongoing patient management

Work autonomously while collaborating with a multidisciplinary team

Document all care using Epic EMR

Maintain compliance with medical staff bylaws and privileging processes

Participate in UCHealth OAP mentorship, leadership development, and ongoing education

Annual salary: $136,822 β $179,379 (DOE)

Eligible for up to $10,000 annually through the Quality Value Incentive Plan (QVIP)

β Required Qualifications

Graduate of an accredited NP program (Masterβs degree required)

Nurse Practitioner Certification (ANCC or AANPCB)

Unrestricted Colorado license to practice as NP/PA

DEA and Medicare/Medicaid provider eligibility

BLS certification (AHA or Red Cross)
-
Clean malpractice/license history (highly preferred)
-
No HHS/OIG or GSA sanctions/exclusions
-
Minimum 2 years trauma surgery experience OR completion of a surgical fellowship (highly preferred)

NPDB Self-Query report within 30 days at presentation
