Seeking an experienced Trauma & Acute Care Surgery Nurse Practitioner to provide overnight coverage (7 PM – 7 AM) in a high-acuity surgical environment. This is a permanent, full-time position for candidates with a strong background in trauma or acute care surgery.

🩹 Role Overview

As a Trauma & Acute Care Surgery NP, you will:

  • Deliver comprehensive trauma and acute care surgical services overnight

  • Perform patient assessments, order and interpret diagnostics, and develop treatment plans

  • Manage trauma and emergency general surgery patients across inpatient units

  • Support trauma surgeons with procedures and ongoing patient management

  • Work autonomously while collaborating with a multidisciplinary team

  • Document all care using Epic EMR

  • Maintain compliance with medical staff bylaws and privileging processes

  • Participate in UCHealth OAP mentorship, leadership development, and ongoing education

  • Annual salary: $136,822 – $179,379 (DOE)

  • Eligible for up to $10,000 annually through the Quality Value Incentive Plan (QVIP)

βœ… Required Qualifications

  • Graduate of an accredited NP program (Master’s degree required)

  • Nurse Practitioner Certification (ANCC or AANPCB)

  • Unrestricted Colorado license to practice as NP/PA

  • DEA and Medicare/Medicaid provider eligibility

  • BLS certification (AHA or Red Cross)

  • Clean malpractice/license history (highly preferred)

  • No HHS/OIG or GSA sanctions/exclusions

  • Minimum 2 years trauma surgery experience OR completion of a surgical fellowship (highly preferred)

  • NPDB Self-Query report within 30 days at presentation
