Locums - Bangor, Maine - NP/PA CVT Surgery Opening

Coverage Dates: July 15, 2026 – October 1, 2026

Schedule: 4 shifts per week (16 shifts per 4-week block)
Shift Hours: 6:30 AM – 4:00 PM (Call begins at 4:00 PM)
Call Ratio: 1:4
Setting: Hospital-Based
Trauma Level: II
EMR: Cerner

Clinical Responsibilities

• OR First Assist – Required

• Post-operative management of cardiac and thoracic surgery patients

• Hemodynamic monitoring and vasoactive drip management

• Independent decision-making (APP takes first call at night)

• Chest X-ray interpretation

• Assigned and Unassigned Patients

• EVH (Terumo system) required

• Must have recent OR and floor experience

Skills Required

• Strong post-op cardiac surgical management

• Comfortable managing high-acuity cardiac and thoracic patients

• Ability to function independently in both OR and floor settings

Requirements

• Board Certified or Board Eligible – Required

• If NP: Must have RFNA and ACNP – Required

• ACLS, BLS – Required

This is a high-acuity CVT Surgery APP opportunity requiring strong operative experience, post-operative cardiac management skills, and independent clinical judgment in a Level II Trauma facility.
