Locums NP/PA Nocturnal CVT Surgery Opportunity | Charlotte, North Carolina

A Level I Trauma Center in Charlotte, North Carolina is seeking an experienced NP or PA for nocturnal locum tenens coverage supporting Cardiothoracic and Vascular Surgery services. This is a night-only role with no OR responsibilities, no call, and a predictable 7-on / 7-off schedule.

Assignment Overview

• Start: ASAP

• Minimum Duration: 3 months

• Potential for Extension: Yes, based on department needs

• Coverage Type: Nocturnal inpatient coverage

Schedule & Shift Details

• Schedule: 7-on / 7-off

• Shift Length: 12 hours

• Shift Time: 6:30 p.m. – 6:30 a.m.

• Call: None

Practice Setting

• Facility Type: Hospital-based

• Trauma Level: Level I

• Department Size: 30 beds

Clinical Responsibilities

Vascular Surgery

• ICU patients (co-managed with Critical Care)

• Floor patients

Cardiothoracic Surgery

• Floor patients only

• No CT surgery ICU coverage required

Additional Responsibilities

• Admissions required

• Chest tube management and removal only (no insertion)

• No surgical or operating room responsibilities

Patient Volume

• Average Census: 10–20 patients per shift

Technology

• EMR: Epic

Requirements

• Board Certified or Board Eligible – Required

• Active North Carolina license – Required

• DEA – Required (address change acceptable)

• ACLS and BLS – Required
