Required Skills:
- Valid Nurse Practitioner licensure with current certification
- Experience in orthopedic surgical procedures and patient management
- Proficiency with electronic health records (EHR) systems for documentation and order entry
- Strong clinical assessment skills and the ability to perform diagnostic and therapeutic procedures
- Ability to work independently and handle emergent situations effectively
- Excellent communication and documentation skills
Nice to Have Skills:
- Prior experience in a hospital or surgical setting
- Knowledge of advanced imaging techniques such as CT, MRI, or bone scans
- Experience with emergency orthopedic call coverage
- Bilingual abilities are a plus
Preferred Education and Experience:
- Master's or Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) degree in Nursing
- At least 2 years of clinical experience in orthopedic care or surgery
- Previous participation in surgical assisting or first assist roles
Other Requirements:
- Current ACLS and BLS certifications
- Ability to respond to call during nights, weekends, and holidays, including rotating schedules
- Willingness to travel within the Bay Area Hospitals' coverage area when necessary
- Valid state and federal licenses; travel and certification reimbursements as applicable
