  • Coverage Period: March 2, 2026 May 29, 2026
  • Clinical Shift Schedule: Monday Friday, 8:00a 5:00p (4 days, 10-hour shifts) COVERAGE DATES
  • Start Date: March 2, 2026
  • End Date: May 29, 2026
  • Immediate assistance requested due to volume increase and leave coverage

PATIENT INFORMATION
  • Patient Demographics: Adults
  • Patient Volume/Census: Inpatient volume based on hospital census and approximately 1525 clinic patients per day
  • Admissions: Yes
  • Rounding: Included
  • Phone Consults: As clinically appropriate
  • Case Mix: Liver and pancreas surgical patients

FACILITY INFORMATION
  • Office Equipment Available: Standard inpatient and clinic equipment
  • Specialty Backup Available: Liver and pancreas surgical team
  • Support Staff Available: Physicians, APPs, and nursing staff
  • Reason for Coverage: Volume increase and leave vacancy

  • Hospital Privileges Required: Yes

JOB REQUIREMENTS
  • Licenses: Active Georgia nurse practitioner license
  • Board: National certification as Nurse Practitioner
  • DEA: As required for inpatient and outpatient practice
  • Certifications: As required by Northside Hospital credentialing standards
  • Experience: Surgical service or inpatient APP experience preferred
  • Other Qualifications: Ability to work in both inpatient and outpatient settings

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Provide inpatient care and rounding for liver and pancreas surgical patients
  • Support outpatient clinic visits and follow-up care
  • Coordinate care with surgical physicians and multidisciplinary teams
  • Document patient encounters accurately and timely in the EMR
  • Assist with continuity of care during periods of increased volume and staff absence
