Locums – Bridgeport, Connecticut, NP/PA Cardiothoracic Surgery Job

RecruitWell is partnering with a multi-facility health system in Bridgeport, Connecticut to identify an experienced NP or PA for a Cardiothoracic Surgery locum assignment covering an FMLA leave. This role requires strong thoracic (non-cardiac) and robotic experience with a mix of OR, inpatient, and clinic responsibilities.

Coverage Details

• Dates: July 20, 2026 – October 19, 2026

• Reason for Coverage: FMLA leave

• Schedule:

• 3–4 days per week

• 10-hour shifts

Call: Unlikely to be needed

Practice Setting

• Facilities: Multiple facilities

• Setting: OR, inpatient, and clinic

Scope of Responsibilities

• 1st assist in the operating room

• Inpatient care including rounding, admissions, and discharges

• Office/clinic patient visits

• Majority of cases are minimally invasive thoracic procedures

• Some foregut surgery in addition to lung surgery

Candidate Requirements

• NP or PA with Cardiothoracic Surgery experience

• Thoracic (non-cardiac) surgery experience – Required

• Robotic surgery experience – Required

• Comfortable across OR, inpatient, and clinic settings

• Flu vaccination required
