Seeking an experienced Cardiothoracic Surgery Nurse Practitioner for a locum opportunity in Toledo, OH. This role includes inpatient post-op and ICU care with a collaborative surgical team. Ideal for NPs comfortable working autonomously in a Level I trauma setting.
Seeking an experienced Cardiothoracic Surgery Nurse Practitioner for a locum opportunity in Toledo, OH. This role includes inpatient post-op and ICU care with a collaborative surgical team. Ideal for NPs comfortable working autonomously in a Level I trauma setting.
Job Responsibilities
• Inpatient post-operative and ICU care
• Daily rounding and coordination of care
• Pre-op physical exams
• Suture removal
• Diagnose and treat illnesses
• Order and interpret diagnostic tests
• Write prescriptions
Qualifications
• ANCC or AANP certification
• Active Ohio NP license
• BLS & ACLS required
• Strong cardiothoracic surgery experience
• 100% clean background (required)
Working Hours
• Day Shift: Mon–Fri | 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM
• Night Call: 4:00 PM – 8:00 AM
• Weekend Call: 24-hour call | 2 weekends/month
• Coverage: ~10 days/month
Skills
• Cardiothoracic post-op management
• ICU care experience
• Independent clinical decision-making
• EMR proficiency (EPIC)
• Strong communication & teamwork
