Job description

Job description We are seeking an experienced Cardiothoracic Surgery Nurse Practitioner for a 60-day locum tenens assignment in Oregon. This opportunity begins on Dec 29, 2025, and involves 24-hour call coverage with first call responsibilities, responding to emergent cases 2-3 nights per week and rotating weekends. Candidates should have recent inpatient experience, as well as advanced certification and licensure as required.

  • Schedule: 24-hour call coverage; first call and respond to emergent cases 2-3 nights per week and rotating weekends

Responsibilities and Duties
  • Provide first call coverage for cardiothoracic surgery cases
  • Respond to emergent cases during assigned shifts
  • Participate in 24-hour call rotations, including nights and weekends
  • Perform first assist duties in the operating room
  • Collaborate with the surgical and inpatient care teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes

Additional Information
  • Must have active Nurse Practitioner licenses in Oregon and Washington
  • Required certification: Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)
  • Board certification in Cardiothoracic Surgery required
  • Inpatient experience within the past 24 months is mandatory
