We are seeking a Surgery - Cardiothoracic Nurse Practitioner for a 9-day locum tenens assignment in Arkansas. This opportunity starts Dec 22, 2025, and features 24-hour call shifts with in-OR responsibilities from 7 AM to 12 PM. The position requires strong first assist experience, including endoscopic vein harvesting and direct involvement in CABG, valve, and great vessel surgeries.

Responsibilities and Duties
- Serve as first assist in the operating room for cardiac cases including CABG, valve procedures, and surgery of great vessels
- Perform endoscopic vein harvesting
- Provide perioperative care for cardiothoracic surgical patients
- Participate in 24-hour call coverage as scheduled
- Collaborate with attending surgeons, anesthesiologists, nursing staff, and surgical teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes
Additional Information
- Minimum 3 years of first assist experience required
- Experience in a Trauma center is a strong plus
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), Certified Physician Assistant (PA-C), Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA), and Registered Nurse First Assistant (RNFA) certifications required
- Must hold an active Arkansas license
