Job Details

- Provider Type Needed: Vascular Surgery Nurse Practitioner
- Schedule: 7am to finish/last case; Monday-Thursday first assist in the OR or floor coverage; Saturday and Sunday rounding with MD and assisting with OR cases; call coverage includes 1 weeknight per week and 1 weekend per month, with adjustments for vacation coverage
Responsibilities and Duties
- First assist in the operating room or provide floor coverage as assigned
- No post-operative clinic responsibilities
- Participate in call coverage: responsible for floor calls from nursing and outpatient families overnight when on call, always in coordination with an MD
- Stay for second OR cases after 4/5pm if needed and not pre or post call
- On weekends, round with the MD and assist with OR cases
- Take nursing and home calls Friday-Sunday per call schedule
Additional Information
- Must be licensed as a Nurse Practitioner in Virginia
- Required board certification: Vascular Surgery
- Required certifications: Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), Basic Life Support (BLS), Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA)
- Must provide vascular surgery case logs
