We are seeking an experienced Cardiovascular & Thoracic Surgery Nurse Practitioner for a 32-day locum tenens assignment in Ohio. This role starts on Nov 24, 2025, and features 12-hour night call shifts every Tuesday and Thursday from 6pm to 6am. Candidates must be within 30 minutes of the hospital and have recent experience with Maquet Hemopro 2.

Responsibilities and Duties
- Provide first assist coverage for cardiovascular and thoracic surgical procedures
- Respond to night call duties, with approximately 7 percent chance of being called in per shift
- Manage most calls remotely via phone; on-site presence required if called in (approximately once every 10 shifts)
- Utilize Maquet Hemopro 2 as needed during procedures
- Deliver advanced cardiac and thoracic care in collaboration with the surgical team
- Maintain readiness within a 30-minute range from the hospital
- Document patient encounters and interventions using Epic EMR
- Ensure compliance with Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) and Basic Life Support (BLS) requirements
Additional Information
- Must hold current NCCPA certification
- Valid Ohio license required
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) and Basic Life Support (BLS) certifications required
- Recent experience with Maquet Hemopro 2 is mandatory
- Epic EMR experience preferred
- Credentialing process estimated at 2-3 weeks
