Responsibilities and Duties
- Provide first assist support for cardiothoracic surgery, including vein harvesting
- Perform daily hospital rounding on CVICU and telemetry patients following cardiac surgery
- Rotate coverage between CVICU and other units as required
- Participate in 24-hour call coverage with daytime rounding responsibilities
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams in a Level II trauma center environment
- Utilize Epic EMR for patient documentation and care coordination
Additional Information
- Active FL license required
- Minimum 1 year of first assist experience required
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification required
- Certified Physician Assistant (PA-C) and Registered Nurse First Assistant (RNFA) certifications required
- Experience in Level II trauma centers or higher is a bonus
