Orthopedic Surgery Locum Tenens Physician Assisstant or Nurse Practitioner

A locum Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner is needed to support orthopedic surgery services, including OR assist, inpatient coverage, and evening call. This assignment provides a block of shifts in November and December with limited call responsibilities.

Weekly gross pay is estimated at $7,000 – $8,400, ranking this role in the Top 10–15% of market compensation for Orthopedic Surgery APP locums.

Assignment Highlights

• Schedule: Mix of OR assist, inpatient, and evening call shifts

• Shifts: 11-hour days (7:00 AM – 6:00 PM) plus occasional 13-hour night call

• Specific priority dates needed

• Top 15% market pay for APP Orthopedic Surgery locums

• Prepaid travel & lodging provided

• Malpractice insurance covered by HPA Healthcare

• HPA Healthcare is a Joint Commission–certified agency

Skills & Experience

• Active Idaho PA or NP license (Compact license acceptable for NP)

• Orthopedic surgery and inpatient experience strongly preferred

• OR assist capability required

• Comfortable with Epic EMR documentation

• Ability to take limited evening/night call
