Job Responsibilities
Washington Regional is seeking a dedicated and experienced Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) to join our Trauma Surgery team. This full-time nocturnist role is hospital-based.
Key Responsibilities
• Surgical consultations and responding to ED for trauma alerts.
• Conduct comprehensive assessments and develop treatment plans.
• Assist in diagnosing and managing medical and surgical conditions.
• Order and interpret diagnostic tests; prescribe medications and treatments.
• Ensure accurate documentation and complete discharge summaries.
• Maintain compliance with HIPAA and hospital policies.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure high-quality patient care.
Qualifications
For Nurse Practitioners:
• Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) required with Acute Care certification
• Licensed and certified as an NP in the State of Arkansas
• National certification required.
• Experience in trauma surgery, or critical care preferred.
• Experience with Epic EMR preferred.
For Physician Assistants:
• Master’s degree in Physician Assistant Studies required.
• Completion of an accredited PA program.
• Licensed in the State of Wisconsin; NCCPA certification required.
• Experience in trauma surgery, or critical care preferred.
• Experience with Epic EMR preferred.
