Job description

Provide inpatient and outpatient care for surgical patients.

Assist in admissions, rounding, discharges, and pre/post-operative management.

Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of surgeons, RNs, and medical assistants.

Participate in teaching supervision of medical residents.

Work within Epic EMR to document and coordinate care.

Manage an average patient load of 15 per shift.

Required to obtain hospital privileges before start (no temporary privileges).

Must be a Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner with active North Carolina license.

Must hold BLS certification.

Board Certified or Board Eligible in General Surgery.

Minimum of 2 years surgical APP experience preferred.

Epic EMR proficiency is a plus.

No supervision of other APPs required, but teaching responsibilities apply.

Scheduled Clinical Hours Only – No on-call duties.

Shift Details: Mix of inpatient & outpatient care.

Facility observes holidays off: Thanksgiving, Christmas Day, New Year’s Day, Memorial Day, Labor Day, 4th of July

Estimated credentialing time: 60–90 days
