Job Opportunity: Nurse Practitioner in Wound Care
Join our dedicated team at a leading Wound Care and Ostomy clinic located in the heart of Troy, NY. This is a Full-Time position requiring an experienced Nurse Practitioner who will play a vital role in delivering specialized care in both inpatient and outpatient settings. Enjoy a Monday-Friday schedule with no weekends or call responsibilities.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough assessments of ostomy patients, evaluating wound status, skin integrity, and overall health.
- Develop and implement individualized care plans for optimal wound healing and management of complications.
- Provide patient education on ostomy care techniques, skin maintenance, and prevention of complications.
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and healthcare professionals to coordinate care and ensure continuity of treatment.
- Utilize evidence-based practices and advanced wound care techniques.
- Maintain accurate documentation of patient assessments and interventions in adherence to regulatory standards.
- Work closely with Colorectal and Urology surgeons for pre-surgery site markings and patient education.
Qualifications:
- At least 1 year of NP employment experience, preferably in wound care management with ostomy care (highly preferred).
- Excellent communication skills and a strong commitment to providing comprehensive care.
- Ability to develop personalized care strategies for patients.
Licensing and Certification Requirements:
- Board Certified Nurse Practitioner - [REQUIRED]
- New York State License (or willingness to obtain) - [REQUIRED]
- Wound Care Certification - [REQUIRED, NO EXCEPTIONS]
- DEA Certification (or willingness to obtain) - [REQUIRED]
- Knowledge and experience in wound care and ostomies - [REQUIRED]
