Nurse Practitioner (APRN ) – Rheumatology - Sarasota, FL

The Nurse Practitioner will provide comprehensive evaluation, diagnosis, and ongoing management of patients with rheumatic and autoimmune conditions. This role involves delivering high-quality, patient-centered care while working collaboratively with physicians and interdisciplinary healthcare teams in an outpatient clinical setting.

Job Responsibilities

Conduct comprehensive patient assessments, including medical history review, physical examinations, and diagnostic evaluations

Develop and implement individualized treatment plans for patients with rheumatic and autoimmune diseases in collaboration with physicians

Prescribe medications and therapeutic interventions to manage symptoms and improve patient outcomes

Provide clinical oversight and support for infusion services, including pre-infusion assessments, monitoring for adverse reactions, and administration per established protocols and collaborative practice agreements

Educate patients and families on disease processes, treatment options, medication management, and lifestyle modifications

Collaborate with multidisciplinary healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated and effective patient care

Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans as clinically indicated

Maintain accurate, timely, and compliant documentation within the electronic medical record (EMR) system

Participate in clinical research initiatives and ongoing professional development activities as applicable

Qualifications

Master's or Doctoral degree in Nursing from an accredited Nurse Practitioner program

Current Nurse Practitioner licensure and national certification (APRN / ARNP / FNP)

Prior experience or specialization in rheumatology or a related specialty preferred

Strong clinical assessment, diagnostic, and decision-making skills

Excellent communication, interpersonal, and patient education abilities

Ability to work effectively in a collaborative, team-oriented environment
