Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) – Adult Outpatient Psychiatry
Location: San Diego, CA
Schedule: Onsite | 3 days per week | 10-hour shifts
Position Overview
Seeking a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) to provide adult outpatient behavioral health services in a collaborative clinical setting. The provider will deliver psychiatric evaluations, medication management, and ongoing treatment for adult patients.

Qualifications

Active Nurse Practitioner license

Board Certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) preferred

Experience in adult outpatient psychiatry or behavioral health

Job Responsibilities
Conduct comprehensive psychiatric evaluations for adult patients
Diagnose and treat mental health and behavioral health conditions
Provide medication management and adjust treatment plans as needed
Develop and implement individualized treatment plans
Perform follow-up visits and ongoing patient monitoring
Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation in the EMR
Collaborate with physicians, therapists, and interdisciplinary care team members
Participate in care coordination and treatment planning discussions
Ensure compliance with clinical protocols, regulatory standards, and best practices
Provide patient education regarding medications, treatment options, and mental health management
Qualifications
Board Certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) preferred
DEA license or ability to obtain
Experience in adult outpatient psychiatry or behavioral health
Bilingual candidates strongly preferred
